The Global Sanitation Economy Summit aimed to be a platform to synergize all innovations in the sanitation economy and bring out solutions for tomorrow. Sanitation is a crucial and a growth sector. Improving health conditions is essential in many parts of the world. It is also a sector potentially providing many opportunities for economic development.

But the most important is to fundamentaly rebuilt the business model of this industry

The main actors of sanitation economy agree on the obsolescence of the current heavy infrastructure business model. High operating cost for too heavy and too rigid systems. Today’s world needs a better environmental awarness, and resources-efficient adaptable solutions.

The economy of sanitation has an important role to play in ecological transition. Toilets and sanitation systems need to be thoroughly redesigned to build tomorrow’s sanitation. The toilets of the future must be sustainable and accessible to all.

As such, WeCo’s ecological flushing public toilets offer an economically viable and ecologically interesting solution for the construction of tomorrow’s sanitation.

WeCo was invited by the Toilet Board Coalition to participate in the Pune Summit in India to share its expertise in the field of ecological sanitation.
